Our Canadian family loves food and we love finding new food places in Portugal. Today, I want to share a gem of a place. Seriously, this might be Lisbon's best kept secret. It's like visiting Japan while still in Lisbon and walking into an experience.
It only opened a few months ago and Buga Ramen is amazing. The decor is It's the Japanese metro, but if you have someone in your family who loves anime or Pokemon like our kids do, it's just unbelievable. The kids were blown away.
We came for dinner on a Saturday night, right when they opened, and it was still relatively unbusy. We got an amazing table in the Pokemon section, and there is a very cool weight staff robot there. Unfortunately, it wasn't running at the time that we were there.
So of course we came for the ramen. It did not disappoint. The food was unbelievable. Get one point. I described eating the food as heavenly. They also have a wonderful and diverse menu, so if you're looking for something other than ramen, there's something for everyone.
I personally got the ramen with chicken karaage. It's so flavorful with a heat intensity of 2. I could go for 3 next time. The heat intensity goes all the way to a 5 if you like things spicy. Seriously. This is an experience.
It's so delicious. The wait staff is amazing, and they even chased us down to give our little one Pokemon cards before we left. Definitely a must visit if you love ramen. It will run you about 12 to 13 euros per person. Very reasonable, and just so good.
