The term Blaxit is a fusion of the words “Black” and “Exit” to refer to Black Americans exiting the U.S. and moving abroad. For many Black Americans, seriously exploring their options overseas provides them with living arrangements at a lower cost of living, access to better & more affordable healthcare, awesome climate, an escape from pervasive racism, cheaper retirement living, and an adventure in a new culture outside of the United States.

We selected these 10 countries based on our own research and information gathered from a collection of online stories from current Black Expats and retirees who are now living in a variety of places in the four corners of the world.
