Carissa Moore is an American professional surfer and the 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2019 WSL Women's World Tour Champion. In 2013, she was named by Glamour magazine as one of their Women of the Year. She became a member of the Surfers' Hall of Fame in 2014. Carissa will represent the United States in the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo, together with Caroline Marks. Let's wish them good luck!

Carissa Moore was born on August 27, 1992 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Already when she was 2 years old, her father noticed in her the ability to maintain balance and confidence in movements. Thus, at the age of 4, the little girl began to learn in practice what surfing is, and at the age of 6 she discovered Waikiki Beach and began to conquer her native surf spots, taking part in local surfing championships.

A year later, young Miss Moore was noticed by the legendary surf company Roxy, which became its first sponsor. The year 2002 can be considered the start of the ascent to the conquest of great peaks, when ten-year-old Carissa won several home competitions in the junior category under 17 at once, and in 2004 the famous magazine «Surfer Magazine» nominated Carissa with the title «Breakthrough of the Year», which she immediately confirmed. taking first place at the Billabong Junior Pro Competiton.

In 2007, Carissa Moore reached the final of the ASP Women’s World Tour, the Roxy Pro Gold Coast, losing first place to Australian Chelsea Hedges, who was 9 years old. So Karissa began to conquer female surfing.

In 2010, an eighteen-year-old girl conquers Europe, winning the Rip Curl Pro competition in Portugal, and a year later becomes the youngest world champion, taking first, not second, place in the ASP Women’s World Tour. 2012: competition in the League championship secured her a bronze medal, 2013 - a gold medal. And so, in 2015, Carissa «saddled» the waves of Honolua Bay and won the 1st place at the WSL Samsung Galaxy Pro championship. She also celebrated victory in the world tournament in 2019.

She announced after the 2019 season that she would take a break from the world tour in 2020.
