Travelling from London Heath row Airport to Faro Airport in the Algarve Portugal on British Airways. The new normal. How 2 passengers experience flying for the first time under the new travel directive under COVID19.

The corona virus has changed aviation in the short term but for how long nobody knows. From the moment before they enter the airport terminal, they need to wear a mask or a face covering. Hand Sanitiser stations are at the entrance of the terminal. Every passenger is encouraged to use them. The seats in the terminal are restricted to 1 seat out of 3 in use. Social distancing public announcements PA's are heard every 5 to 10 minutes. All the airport workers are wearing masks. All passengers are offered masks if they don't have them.

On this particular BA flight that they were on boarding was done from the back of the plane first in 5 rows at a time. It wasn't a full flight so there was social distancing on the plane.

When leaving the aircraft they got off from the front 4 rows at a time in Faro. Although there is no Airbridge between the UK and Portugal at the moment passengers are flying to the Algarve.
Hopefully this will change very soon and Portugal will be on the list of approved countries that UK citizens can travel too without having to quarantine for 14 days after returning to the UK.
