German prosecutors have written to Kate and Gerry McCann saying they have 'concrete evidence' their daughter Madeleine is dead.

Prosecutors said they were not willing to disclose what the evidence is, as it may hinder their ongoing investigation.

The prime suspect in the case is a convicted pedophile known as Christian B, who is currently in a German prison for unrelated crimes.

Madeleine McCann was kidnapped from a Portugal resort in 2007 when she was just three-years-old.
