After the collapse of the Umayyad Caliphate, Iberia became a safe-haven for the remaining Umayyad supporters. The young Prince Al-Rahman managed to settle and establish himself in Al-Andalus, thus creating the Emirate of Cordoba. Cordoba would become a Multi-Ethnic, Multi-Religious and Multi-cultural. Meanwhile the Kingdom of Asturias would continue to establish itself and gain Support from the Franks and the Church.
