We show you how to make a quick and easy version of the Francesinha, a famous Portuguese sandwich (inspired from either the French sandwich of Croque Madame), but uniquely Portuguese due to the thick sauce poured over the sandwich.
There are no limits to the meats you can use in the sandwich. I used thin sirloin steak, linguica, and ham in mine, but have seen others use hot dogs, pork, chicken or other meats to layer in the sandwich.
My sauce is quick to make, tastes delicious, and you can freeze any extra sauce to use for other meals, or more Francesinhas.
