No Word On Trade, Aid To Flood-Hit Pakistan; Saddened Over Death Of Indian Woman In Portugal: MEA

In the weekly press briefing, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi stated that PM Modi has shared sadness & extended condolences to the victims of flash floods in Pakistan. However, there was no word on either trade or aid to the neighbouring country.

Bagchi expressed sadness over the death of an Indian woman tourist in Portugal, who suffered a cardiac arrest and died in Lisbon. She passed away while being transferred between one hospital to another due to non-availability of a bed. Portugal Health Minister has reportedly resigned after the incident.

MEA announced the visit of Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina next week to India.
