At the start of 2020, I promised myself to dig deeper into my roots via Ancestry DNA in order to be my most authentic self. I felt lost for years and desired to know more about my ancestors to no avail. My family didn't talk much about the past. They didn't talk much about details. So, I felt the need to look into my DNA and used Ancestry DNA!

I discovered some surprises: my roots stem from Portuguese (20%) and Bantu speaking people (Camaroon, the Congo, and Bantu people - 14%). Not so surprising? Spain (20%) and Indigenous (4%).
