In this episode I take you along on a necessary task on the farm and what I believe is an important part of farm life and the responsibility for the animals that come along with that. In this instance it is about cats. How they accumulate and multiply and what we can do as responsible farm owners to make a better life for them - aka we're talking about cat sterilization.

The cats being feral, especially the female, is super smart! I get some help from a cat sanctuary and use one of their traps to help me catch the smart female cat, Sunny.

About Girl Meets Farm:
I'm Christine, a South African expat now living in Portugal.

This is my adventure as a solo expat on a farm in Central Portugal with my two fur-kids, Shakti & Shiva.
I've never owned or lived on a farm, but moved to Portugal in the hope of fulfilling a life-long dream of finding open space, subsistence farming and a safer, better life.

The third stage of our journey begins now!
I'm still figuring out farm life, and while the larger renovation of the agricultural structure is now complete, I will continue renovating the interior to make it habitable and turn it into a comfortable home for me and my furkids.

Thank you for joining our journey!
